River Rock Foursquare Church exists for the purpose of creating a culture that honors Jesus Christ, depends on the Holy Spirit, and gives glory to God our Father.
We believe our mission is to gather those who truly desire to experience God and his kingdom in their everyday lives. We desire to prepare Christians to be the hands and feet of Christ in Molalla, in the workplace, in schools, and wherever there are people in need of a real and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe our purpose is to send people into the various fields and ministries where God has called them.
We celebrate our glorious God every time we meet together. We do this through worship which includes contemporary music and singing. We teach directly from the Word of God. We believe it is His Word that prepares us for life both now and eternally. We pray together, laugh together, cry together, and support one another with fearless love.
We believe that it is our mandate to bring the kingdom of heaven into our earthly lives. We want to understand the keys of the kingdom and access the treasure chest which is His kingdom. We believe there is life, healing, provision, deliverance, restoration, hope and peace found there. We seek God with all our hearts and pray to receive his kingdom and will into our earthly existence.
We believe that all people have unique identities in Christ that were given to them before the creation of the world. We know that God has uniquely created and called each person to a personal and real relationship with Him. We celebrate diversity and esteem one another as individuals who have been created and called to fulfill specific purposes in God’s kingdom.
We believe that these are the days of the ‘Great Harvest.’ We understand that God has called us to take the good news of the Kingdom to all mankind. We know that real church takes place outside the building. Although we meet together regularly, each person goes out to hurting people taking good news and truly being Christ’s church, his body on the earth. Our mission is to evangelize the world and usher in God’s Kingdom.
We are a church community. We love each other and work to build relationships within our church. There is always a relational atmosphere in our meetings, where we are free to laugh together, cry together, pray together, and support each other in times of need. We are friendly and love to talk about the good news of Jesus Christ.
We are diverse in our backgrounds, our ethnicity, and our gifts. It is through this diversity that God builds his church. Each person has unique, God-given skills and gifts that help create our expression of the love of Jesus. We strive to not judge each other or those we meet. Rather, we choose to rely and practice the incredible grace that God has given us through Jesus Christ—His death, resurrection and ascension to heaven.
We are welcoming. We value families. We honor all ages. Our church is made up of every generation from great grandparents to babies. We love families and strive to provide teaching and encouragement for all ages.
We are part of the Foursquare Church family. We are a unique family of believers in a larger family of believers, which is God’s church. Along with River Rock Foursquare, there are many churches that are unique and blessed by God. We choose to celebrate that diversity through an interdenominational spirit, embracing every church who teaches the reality of our living savior Jesus Christ. We desire to partner with and build relationships with other churches. This is at the heart and foundation of the Foursquare Church and specifically River Rock Foursquare.
God is calling our church to help facilitate cooperation and unity among the churches in the Molalla River Basin. This area covers Molalla, Canby, Woodburn, Silverton, Oregon City, Estacada, and many smaller communities. It is an area of about 900 square miles. God is doing great things in our region and we expect a new and incredible move of the Holy Spirit here. We believe there is a renewal coming that will facilitate many coming to know and put their faith in Jesus. This is possible only when the church, the hands and feet of Jesus on the earth, come together under the banner of love for one another, love for our neighbors, and love for even our enemies.
